DroneProtect, building the cyber-safety layer for drone operations

Today, drone technology is advancing fast but cybersecurity, governance and public trust have not kept pace.

DroneProtect is an initiative exploring a vendor-independent cyber layer designed to protect fleets, missions, systems and networks across multiple platforms.

The Gap in the Market and How DroneProtect adds value.

  • No unified cyber layer across manufacturers
Each vendor creates its own island, different policies, logs and controls.
Organizations lack true central visibility and control.

  • No real multi-vendor security
Most tools manage fleets, but cannot enforce security policy across mixed fleets and systems.

  • Firmware trust is missing
Who proves firmware wasn’t altered, modified or tampered with?
Today, most organizations simply trust. That’s risky.

  • Drones are disconnected from SOC / SIEM
Enterprises monitor networks, users and assets, but drones rarely enter that picture. No correlation, no big-picture forensics.

  • No pre-flight cyber check
Pilots check weather, maps and batteries, but rarely permissions, security posture, suspicious links or policy compliance.

  • No true legal-grade logging
Most systems show “history”, but not tamper-proof, time-stamped logs suitable for investigations and public accountability.

  • Privacy & public trust not addressed technologically
    Regulation exists, tools don’t.
Organizations need transparency, access control and trust reporting.

  • No municipal / infrastructure-level standard
Different departments use different approaches,  without alignment, oversight or governance.

DroneProtect aims to create the common language.

What makes DroneProtect different?

Cyber layer above everything,  not another drone platform.
Independent, vendor-agnostic, focused on protecting fleets, data, systems and public trust.

True multi-vendor
Works across DJI, Skydio, Parrot, Autel and more,  avoiding vendor lock-in.

Focused on friendly fleets
Not anti-drone. Protecting your own drones, infrastructure and communities.

Security + governance + evidence
Tamper-proof logs, transparency, regulatory readiness and incident documentation.

Integrates , does not replace
Connects to existing platforms, SOC and SIEM and adoption becomes easier.

Clear roadmap (conceptual)
MVP :  visibility & monitoring
v1.5 :  enforcement & integrations
v2 : advanced detection, firmware trust, privacy controls

DroneProtect aspires to become the “Cyber SOC for drones” .
A vendor-independent protection layer for organizations that rely on drones at scale.
Currently in concept & research stage.
